Tour Overview

Deep dive into the wondrous landscape of Corbett National Park with our exclusive Tiger Safari tour. This park also called the land of the roar, trumpet, and song is home to the Royal Bengal Tiger, Asian Elephant, and close to 500 species of birds.

With a multitude of landscapes, varying from the Himalayan Foothills to flowing rivers, grasslands to even rocky hill tops, Corbett is the hidden jewel in the crown of Indian Wildlife. One major advantage of taking a tiger safari in Corbett is that you get to stay inside the jungle in a 100-year-old forest rest house in the Dhikala Zone.

The Dhikala Forest Rest House is located on the banks of the Ramganga River, where one can see herds of elephants grazing through the grasslands, or Ghariyals just laying lazily on the river bed.

Although basic in nature, Dhikala is a prime spot for wildlife photographers and serious wildlife enthusiasts who wish to explore Corbett National Park in all its glory.

You can also combine a Tiger Safari in Corbett with a cultural detour, by driving up to Agra or even combining it with other national parks like Dudhwa or Ranthambore.

Joy! This was my FIRST tiger safari! My best friend and I chose Nature Safari India to organize our trip to Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Parks. I have nothing but rave reviews for Nature Safari India. Deepkul, our agent, was phenomenal! Deepkul arranged everything for us, with attention to details we had no clue about. Deepkul was always available for any questions via whatsapp chat/calls, helped us with flights, getting our visas and provided helpful tips. I was impressed BEFORE leaving the USA. During our time in India, all the staff at Nature Safari India were courteous, friendly and helpful.

After a very succesfull Tiger-safari with "Nature Safari India" in 2022 we decided to return to India this year. This time we focussed on bird-watching and bird-photography, together with Mr Deepkul Chetri, who was always very quick to respond and gave us very good advice, we set up a 3-week programme in the Nort-East of India. We visited Nameri NP, Kaziranga NP (with a lot of Rhino's!!), Mishmi Hills, Dibru Saikhowa, Dihing Patkai where we did amazing birding trips, nature walks and boat-safari's. Again it was a very succesfull adventure, everything was perfect organized.

Unbelievable experience and a wonderful company to work with. We spent 3 weeks in India, visiting 4 tiger reserves as well as some of the cities. Can't recommend this company enough - Sharad was always very quick to respond to my questions and nothing was too much trouble. At every turn we were met and escorted by either a driver or, while in Delhi by Deep who was always there, smiling, to greet or farewell us on the next sector of our trip. During our visit to Vrindavan for the Holi festival, we were guided and protected by another member of the team, whose patience and care was just amazing.I would return to India just to book with Nature Safaris again.

Awesome Experience! Top notch and will use them again! We did the 4 day 3 night Jim Corbett National Park Tiger Safari. We left and returned to Delhi. It was an awesome and one of the highlights of our three weeks in India! Our guide VJ and driver Savage were very friendly and knowledgeable. With four separate tiger sightings (along with plenty of deer, antelope, elephants and birds and two of the six safaris were in the rain). We’ve done safaris in Africa and Sri Lanka – this experience ranks with the best. Sharad’s customer service was top notch and very proactive. There were some bumps in the road – it is India of course, but Sharad always reached out proactivity.

Five weeks in India, 20 tigers, and so much more. All that said, the trip was amazing. We ended up seeing 20 tigers in 28 game drives. We were always doing game drives in the park's core zones. We did game drives in 5 parks (Tadoba, Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Jim Corbett, and Kaziranga). We got over jet lag in a Kerala house boat. We toured Delhi, Mumbai, Arangabad (Ajunta & Ellora Caves), and Agra. We celebrated Holi in the birthplace of Krishna. And we spent 4 days on the Brahmaputra River in Assam. We were not ready to return home at the end of our 5 weeks!

Begin your morning tiger safari in Corbett at sunrise. Corbett has been aptly described as the land of the Roar, Trumpet, and Song. It represents a scene of remarkable beauty. Corbett National Park had the proud distinction of being the chosen venue for the inauguration of Project Tiger in India. The rich biodiversity of the Reserve is partly attributed to the variety of habitats here. Due to the location of the Reserve in the foothills of the central Himalayas, both Himalayan and peninsular flora and fauna are found in the Reserve.

Established initially as Hailey National Park on August 8, 1936, in honor of Sir Malcolm Hailey, the then governor of the United Provinces, the park’s name was later changed to Ramganga National Park in 1952 and subsequently to Corbett National Park in honor and memory of the late Jim Corbett, the legendary hunter, naturalist-turned-author and photographer, who had helped in setting up the park and in the demarcation of its boundaries.

Dinner and overnight at the Forest Rest House.
