Tour Overview

Land of the Royalty homing the Royal Bengal Tiger! What more could you have asked from a tiger safari tour that perfectly blends together India’s warm hospitality and culture with rich wildlife experiences. Ranthambore National Park, formerly also the hunting grounds of the Maharaja, is now a thriving wildlife destination for tourists from across the globe. Located amidst a convenient junction called the Golden Triangle, it is the perfect destination to amalgamate your cultural and heritage tour in India, along with stunning views of Indian Wildlife.

The landscape itself is extremely interesting, as several large lakes provide life for the animals which live there, Savannah grasslands provide feed and are excellent hunting spots for the large Ungulates. The Park was a former hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur, and its old Forts and outposts adorn the place, adding to its uniqueness.

Joy! This was my FIRST tiger safari! My best friend and I chose Nature Safari India to organize our trip to Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Parks. I have nothing but rave reviews for Nature Safari India. Deepkul, our agent, was phenomenal! Deepkul arranged everything for us, with attention to details we had no clue about. Deepkul was always available for any questions via whatsapp chat/calls, helped us with flights, getting our visas and provided helpful tips. I was impressed BEFORE leaving the USA. During our time in India, all the staff at Nature Safari India were courteous, friendly and helpful.

After a very succesfull Tiger-safari with "Nature Safari India" in 2022 we decided to return to India this year. This time we focussed on bird-watching and bird-photography, together with Mr Deepkul Chetri, who was always very quick to respond and gave us very good advice, we set up a 3-week programme in the Nort-East of India. We visited Nameri NP, Kaziranga NP (with a lot of Rhino's!!), Mishmi Hills, Dibru Saikhowa, Dihing Patkai where we did amazing birding trips, nature walks and boat-safari's. Again it was a very succesfull adventure, everything was perfect organized.

Unbelievable experience and a wonderful company to work with. We spent 3 weeks in India, visiting 4 tiger reserves as well as some of the cities. Can't recommend this company enough - Sharad was always very quick to respond to my questions and nothing was too much trouble. At every turn we were met and escorted by either a driver or, while in Delhi by Deep who was always there, smiling, to greet or farewell us on the next sector of our trip. During our visit to Vrindavan for the Holi festival, we were guided and protected by another member of the team, whose patience and care was just amazing.I would return to India just to book with Nature Safaris again.

Awesome Experience! Top notch and will use them again! We did the 4 day 3 night Jim Corbett National Park Tiger Safari. We left and returned to Delhi. It was an awesome and one of the highlights of our three weeks in India! Our guide VJ and driver Savage were very friendly and knowledgeable. With four separate tiger sightings (along with plenty of deer, antelope, elephants and birds and two of the six safaris were in the rain). We’ve done safaris in Africa and Sri Lanka – this experience ranks with the best. Sharad’s customer service was top notch and very proactive. There were some bumps in the road – it is India of course, but Sharad always reached out proactivity.

Five weeks in India, 20 tigers, and so much more. All that said, the trip was amazing. We ended up seeing 20 tigers in 28 game drives. We were always doing game drives in the park's core zones. We did game drives in 5 parks (Tadoba, Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Jim Corbett, and Kaziranga). We got over jet lag in a Kerala house boat. We toured Delhi, Mumbai, Arangabad (Ajunta & Ellora Caves), and Agra. We celebrated Holi in the birthplace of Krishna. And we spent 4 days on the Brahmaputra River in Assam. We were not ready to return home at the end of our 5 weeks!

Ranthambhore encompasses an area of 400 sq. km encompassing rocky hill crests which descend to open valleys between the Aravalli and Vindhya ranges, dotted with water pools and fruit trees, this park gets its name from the thousand-year-old fortress, which lies nestled on hill above the forest. Well known for the diurnal activity of tigers, Ranthambhore is a special and unusual area where the natural present meets the historical past. Sambar, cheetal, chinkara, nilgai, and langur are predominant in these parts. The elusive leopard and tigers are found in this reserve with tourists standing a very good chance of seeing tigers at close quarters during the safaris.

Ranthambhore is also rich in bird diversity with over 300 species that can be seen here. In fact, for a keen bird watcher, Ranthambhore and the surrounding area is a birding paradise. Some interesting resident species of birds are the Great Cormorant, Painted Spurfowl, Sarus Crane, Bronzed Winged Jacana, Sandpipers, Kingfishers, Nightjars, Painted Sandgrouse, the Indian Eagle Owl, and many more winter migrants which arrive from their nesting ground north of the Himalayas.

Dotted across the landscape are the crumbling ruins of past glory, be it chatris or cupolas like palaces or old guard posts, all of these reinforce the magical and ethereal quality of this great wilderness
