Joy! This was my FIRST tiger safari! My best friend and I chose Nature Safari India to organize our trip to Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Parks. I have nothing but rave reviews for Nature Safari India. Deepkul, our agent, was phenomenal! Deepkul arranged everything for us, with attention to details we had no clue about. Deepkul was always available for any questions via whatsapp chat/calls, helped us with flights, getting our visas and provided helpful tips. I was impressed BEFORE leaving the USA. During our time in India, all the staff at Nature Safari India were courteous, friendly and helpful.

After a very succesfull Tiger-safari with "Nature Safari India" in 2022 we decided to return to India this year. This time we focussed on bird-watching and bird-photography, together with Mr Deepkul Chetri, who was always very quick to respond and gave us very good advice, we set up a 3-week programme in the Nort-East of India. We visited Nameri NP, Kaziranga NP (with a lot of Rhino's!!), Mishmi Hills, Dibru Saikhowa, Dihing Patkai where we did amazing birding trips, nature walks and boat-safari's. Again it was a very succesfull adventure, everything was perfect organized.

Unbelievable experience and a wonderful company to work with. We spent 3 weeks in India, visiting 4 tiger reserves as well as some of the cities. Can't recommend this company enough - Sharad was always very quick to respond to my questions and nothing was too much trouble. At every turn we were met and escorted by either a driver or, while in Delhi by Deep who was always there, smiling, to greet or farewell us on the next sector of our trip. During our visit to Vrindavan for the Holi festival, we were guided and protected by another member of the team, whose patience and care was just amazing.I would return to India just to book with Nature Safaris again.

Awesome Experience! Top notch and will use them again! We did the 4 day 3 night Jim Corbett National Park Tiger Safari. We left and returned to Delhi. It was an awesome and one of the highlights of our three weeks in India! Our guide VJ and driver Savage were very friendly and knowledgeable. With four separate tiger sightings (along with plenty of deer, antelope, elephants and birds and two of the six safaris were in the rain). We’ve done safaris in Africa and Sri Lanka – this experience ranks with the best. Sharad’s customer service was top notch and very proactive. There were some bumps in the road – it is India of course, but Sharad always reached out proactivity.

Five weeks in India, 20 tigers, and so much more. All that said, the trip was amazing. We ended up seeing 20 tigers in 28 game drives. We were always doing game drives in the park's core zones. We did game drives in 5 parks (Tadoba, Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Jim Corbett, and Kaziranga). We got over jet lag in a Kerala house boat. We toured Delhi, Mumbai, Arangabad (Ajunta & Ellora Caves), and Agra. We celebrated Holi in the birthplace of Krishna. And we spent 4 days on the Brahmaputra River in Assam. We were not ready to return home at the end of our 5 weeks!

Sighting of Leopards, Gaurs, Wild Dog, Sloth Bear is good in comparison to other national parks of Central India. Bird-watching in Satpura National Park is great. Here very frequently we can see variety of birds during stay and safari. Tiger sighting of this national park is not so impressive as compared to nearby Bandhavgarh, Kanha or Pench national parks. So it is required when we go for jungle safari in national park, we should not go with single mindset of tiger-sighting but enjoy sighting all members of national park as they are equally share the jungle with tigers and are extremely beautiful creatures of nature.

12th Mar/Tue: In Satpura

In the morning, you will be accompanied by your lodge naturalist and forest guide on a walking safari/birding trail in the national park. This give you the opportunity to explore the mammalian and avaian life of the jungle, at close quarters. Carry your binoculars for this one! Come back to the lodge post trail, and eat lunch. After lunch, proceed for yet another jeep safari in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Morning jeep safari to the national park and later drive to Pench national park 260 kms/6-hour drive. On arrival check into lodge and take the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the resort.

14th Mar/Thu: In Pench

Morning and afternoon jeep safaris to the National park. Meals and overnight at the resort. A total of 758 Sq. kms of this Southern Indian tropical moist deciduous forest has its extent mingling with the tropical dry deciduous teak. The area is crisscrossed by a number of streams and ‘nallahs’ most of which are seasonal. Though the Pench River dries up in April end, a number of water pools locally known as ‘dohs’ are found which serve as water holes for the wild animals. The Pench Reservoir at the center of the park is the only major water source during the pinch period. As a prey concentration is high along the Pench River, tiger usually inhabits and frequents this belt. Leopards though generally operate in the peripheral areas but are occasionally seen in the deep forest also. Jungle cats are commonly seen. Leopard cats, small Indian civets and palm civets are seen rarely. In Pench, Cheetal, Sambar, are commonly seen grazing on the open sites on roadsides and banks of river & reservoir. Jackals can be seen in search of food anywhere in the Park. Packs of upto 15 or more wild dog can be seen near Chhedia, Jamtara, Bodanala and Pyorthadi areas of the Reserve. Herds of gaur can be spotted near streams and bamboo patches commonly in summer months. Sloth beer occupy the rocky areas and favour mahul bel infested forest. Chinkara is present in very small numbers and is found in open areas around Turia, Telia and Dudhgaon villages.

15th Mar/Fri: In Pench

Morning jeep safari in the park. Take the afternoon to relax at the lodge and prepare yourself for an enthralling night drive into the jungle! You get the opportunity to view the forest’s nocturnal life including porcupines, black naped hare, palm civet and the leopards. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

16th Mar/Sat: Pench – Kanha (by surface – 210 Kms /4-hour drive)

Morning safari in the park. Come back from the safari, freshen up and eat a quick lunch. Post lunch, head to Kanha national park 210 kms/ 4-hour drive. On arrival check into the Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Kanha.

17th Mar/Sun: In Kanha

Morning and afternoon safari in Kanha. All meals and overnight at the lodge. Kanha’s sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands and meandering streams stretch over 940 sq km in dramatic natural splendor which form the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve created in 1974 under Project Tiger. The park is the only habitat of the rare hardground Barasingha (Cervus Duvaceli Branderi). Tigers of Kanha are known to walk on vehicle tracks. If you are fortunate, you will have a head on sighting of tigers here. Once they get on the track, they will walk for long enough to give you ample opportunities to take some nice images of them. Kanha tigers are known for their exceptional head size, neck girth, and tall at shoulders. They are also quite bold and undeterred by the tourist vehicles. Kanha is the original Kipling country of which he wrote so vividly in his Jungle Book. Packed breakfast which comes from the Lodge is served at a designated spot and spread on the bonnet of the Safari vehicle. Enjoy your breakfast in the wilderness of Kanha. Continue your search for the elusive Tiger if you have not yet seen the same, and soak in the fresh, and energizing environment. Return from Safari around 1130hrs. Freshen up, and Lunch is served

18th Mar/Mon: In Kanha

Morning and afternoon jeep safari to the park. All meals and overnight at the lodge. Kanha is also the perfect example of man-animal co-existence. This was the first park from when a village was moved out from the core area of the forest and relocated outside. Subsequently, many other villages were shifted out to give more inviolate space to the tigers. The graceful tribals accepted the generous compensation packages thus creating a haven for tigers in Kanha and it became a win-win situation for tribals and tigers both. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

19th Mar/Tue: Kanha – Raipur – New Delhi (240 kms/7-hour drive)

Morning Jeep safari in the park. After lunch drive to Raipur airport 240 kms/7-hour drive, to board a flight to New Delhi. On arrival at New Delhi, you will be met by our representative who will assist you with a smooth check-in. Overnight at hotel in New Delhi.

20th Mar/Wed: New Delhi – Fly Back

Early breakfast and check out. Drive to the New Delhi International Airport to board your flight back home.
