Tour Overview
Kanha National Park, a name synonymous with some of the biggest male tigers in India, is here to give you one of the most memorable tiger safari experiences.
Predominantly a Sal jungle, this park is not only an enigma for wildlife like the Indian Gaur (Bison), Barasingha, Sloth Bear, Indian Leopard, Indian Python, Wild Dog or Dhole, and Indian King Cobra, but has also been awarded to be one of the best managed National Parks in the country.
It has successfully implemented conservation programs, especially that of the Hard Ground Barasingha (Hard Ground Swamp Deer), from just 55 in 1965 to over 800 now.
Not only this, but Kanha also made a major contribution towards increasing the Gaur population in Bandhavgarh. It donated about 50 Gaur to Bandhavgarh National Park where they left their habitat almost a decade back. Today, the Gaur population in Bandhavgarh is thriving because of Kanha. Subsequently, Tigers have been sent to Panna and lately to Satkosia Tiger Reserve in Orissa, to repopulate the Tiger population in the reserve.
Creating a tiger corridor with Pench, this park is located at a driving distance not only from Pench but also Bandhavgarh National Park. Therefore, when on a tiger safari in Kanha, you can also easily explore other wildlife destinations like the aforementioned.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in New Delhi
On your arrival at the New Delhi International Airport, you will me met and received by our representative. They will take you to your hotel, assist you with a smooth check in, hand over and explain all travel related documents and ensure you’re well taken care of.
Overnight stay at the hotel in New Delhi.
Accommodation: The Roseate House, Aerocity or similar
Day 02: New Delhi – Raipur – Kanha (Flight + 210 kms/06-hour drive)
After an early breakfast, you will be driven to the Domestic Airport to catch a flight to Raipur. On arrival, you will be met by our representative who will further drive you to Kanha National Park. On arrival at Kanha, and for a quick lunch, depart for your first afternoon tiger safari in the Sal jungle.
Return from the safari in the evening. Relax with a hot shower and dinner is served. Overnight at lodge in Kanha National Park.

Day 03 - 05: At Kanha National Park
Wake up call at 0500 hours with tea/coffee and freshly baked cookies. Proceed for your first morning safari this day.
Kanha’s sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands and meandering streams stretch over 940 sq km in dramatic natural splendor which form the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve created in 1974 under Project Tiger. The park is the only habitat of the rare hardground Barasingha (Cervus Duvaceli Branderi). This is also the original Kipling country of which he wrote so vividly in his Jungle Book.
Packed breakfast which comes from the Lodge is served at a designated spot and spread on the bonnet of the Safari vehicle. Enjoy your breakfast in the wilderness of Kanha.
Continue your search for the elusive Tiger if you have not yet seen the same, and soak in the fresh, and energizing environment. Return from Safari around 1130hrs. Freshen up, and lunch is served.
Depart for an afternoon jeep safari at Kanha National Park. Return at 1800 hours from the safari. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 06: Kanha – Raipur – New Delhi (200 kms/05-hour drive + Flight)
After a morning safari in the park, come back to the Lodge, freshen up and eat an early lunch. Depart for the Raipur Airport and catch a domestic flight back to New Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi, you will be met by our representative, who will further assist you with transfer to a Hotel/Airport for onward journey.
